The Joy of Serving
The Church is not a building, but the Body of Christ, and every member plays a vital role. When we serve, we use the gifts and abilities God has given us to build up one another, strengthen the ministry, and glorify Him. Serving is how we practically live out our faith and love for God and neighbor.
Why Do We Serve?
Our motivation for serving is rooted in the Gospel itself
Following Christ's Example
Jesus did not come to be served, but to serve (Mark 10:45). As His followers, we are called to emulate His self-sacrificial love and humility.
Stewardship of Gifts
The Bible teaches that God has uniquely equipped every believer with spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4-7). Serving is our opportunity to put these gifts into action for the benefit of the body.
Demonstrating Love
Service is the tangible evidence of our love for one another (1 John 3:18). By meeting practical needs, we show the love of Christ to our church family and the Wahoo community.
Operation Christmas Child
The Power of a Shoebox!
Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is one of the most impactful outreach initiatives of our church. Every fall, we rally together to pack hundreds of shoeboxes filled with toys, hygiene items, and other supplies. These simple gifts travel the globe, delivering the Gospel and tangible hope to children in need.
This isn't just a project; it's a mission to share God's love, one box at a time.
