Our Children's Ministry is dedicated to creating a safe, engaging, and loving environment where kids can discover and grow in their relationship with Jesus. Through age-appropriate lessons, fun activities, music, and prayer, we aim to lay a strong biblical foundation that helps children understand God's love for them. We aim to equip the next generation to live as faithful followers of Christ and learn how to share His light with the world. We offer programs for all ages.
sunday school
Join us every Sunday at 9:15 AM for Sunday School! This is a dedicated time for children to dive deeper into the Bible and explore God's Word through interactive, age-appropriate lessons. We offer two distinct classes to ensure every child gets the most out of their learning experience: one for Pre-K through 2nd grade and another for 3rd through 6th grade. Our dedicated teachers create a welcoming and fun environment where children can build lasting friendships and grow in their knowledge of Jesus. Adults can drop off their children at the classrooms in the WBC basement, then you are more than welcome to head upstairs for Adult Sunday School!
Nursery
We offer safe and loving nursery care for your youngest children during our church service. We encourage all children to join us in the sanctuary for the music portion of the service so they can participate in worship alongside their families. Immediately before the sermon begins, the children will be dismissed to the nursery. This allows parents to focus fully on the message while their little ones are cared for. Video and audio is also streamed to the nursery so nursing mothers can still participate.
children's church
Children's Church provides a fun and focused worship experience for kids aged 3 to 10. We love having our families worship together, so we encourage all children to stay in the main service for the music and singing. Just as the sermon is about to begin, children will be dismissed to Children's Church. Children will enjoy a snack while we also use this time to introduce and instruct them in basic catechism, helping them memorize and comprehend the foundational teachings of our faith in an accessible way.
youth group
Our Youth Group is a space for students starting in 5th grade and on to connect, grow, and explore their faith journey together. We meet every Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM for an action-packed hour that includes a game, a snack, and a Bible study designed for teens. Beyond our weekly gatherings, we also host fun events and service projects throughout the year, giving students opportunities to build lasting friendships and deepen their commitment to Christ.
Good News Club
Good News Club is an exciting, after-school ministry held at Wahoo Public Schools every Wednesday from 3:15-5:00 PM. This program offers a time of learning for elementary-aged children, featuring Bible lessons, memory verses, missionary stories, fun songs, and games. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to hear the Gospel, grow in their faith, and build moral character in a familiar and safe school setting, with parental permission required for all participants.
